How can I select the recording area?

You can select the recording area from the menu "Capture Area". There can be three possible recording areas.

Select the File where you want to save the recorded video in "Save Screen Video File as.."
Select the "Full Screen" from the "Capture Area" menu.
Press Record. This will starts recording and minimize the Webcam and Screen Recorder application in the icon tray.
You can stop the recording by double clicking the minimized "Screen Movie Maker" (Webcan Screen Recorder) icon in the tray or by pressing the Stop button.

How can I record my or any webcam playing on my screen?

Select the File where you want to save the recorded video in "Save Screen Video File as.."
Select the "Selected Window" from the "Capture Area" menu.
Press Record.
The "Select Window" dialog box will appear with a drag icon. Pick that circle drag icon (using the left mouse button) and drop it over the webcam screen you want to capture. This will disappear the drag icon and it will make the "to be captured" screen highlighted with a bold border once. The appearance of bold border on the selected screen means that you have successfully selected this screen.
Now press "Start Recording" from the "Select Window" dialog box, it will also minimize the Webcam and Screen Recorder application in the icon tray.
To keep recording keep, do not move or minimize the webcam screen window after dropping the drag icon over it.

	How can I record a particular area of my screen?
	Select the File where you want to save the recorded video in "Save Screen Video File as.." Select the "Selected Region" from the "Capture Area" menu. Press Record. This will show a region selecting tool attached to your mouse pointer which has a horizontal and a vertical line (big Plus Sign +). Now you can select a rectangle or square shape region to be captured by clicking at one corner. This will disappear the selecting tool attached to your mouse pointer. Now again press Record. The selecting tool will appear again with your mouse pointer, and this time you can see the complete shape you want to record with the changing dimension written in the middle. Click again when you have the desire region inside that box attached with your mouse pointer. It will also minimize the Webcam and Screen Recorder application in the icon tray. You can stop the recording by double clicking the minimized "Screen Movie Maker" (Webcam Screen Recorder) icon in the tray or by pressing the Stop button.

	How can I play a recorded file?
	You can play the last recorded file or any file selected by pressing the Play button or F5.

	Can I record Audio with the Video?
	Yes. You can record the audio with the video you are recording from: Settings>Audio Compression Setting> (as shown in the demo below)


	Can I install it over multiple machines?
	Yes. You can install Webcam and Screen Recorder on as many machines as you want under your personal use. Every time you install it on a new machine, it generate a new registration code. Please send us your new registration code along with the payment receipt number to obtain a new license key.

	Please follow the steps to upgrade to latest version 1) Uninstall current version of Webcam and Screen Recorder 2) Delete Webcam and Screen Recorder folder under Program Files. 3) Open C:\Windows\System32 and delete screen source.ax and screen 2 video.ocx Files. 4) Download and install latest version from http://www.fakewebcam.com/download/wcsrsetup.exe.
