Step 1 — Install Fake Webcam

Download and install Fake Webcam and load a video. Keep it running before you open your browser.

Step 2 — Open Google Meet

Go to meet.google.com in Chrome or Edge and start or join a meeting.

Step 3 — Change Camera in Meet

Before joining, click the three-dot menu (…) or the settings gear icon and go to Settings → Video. Select Fake Webcam Source from the camera dropdown.

Step 4 — Allow Camera Access

If your browser asks for camera permission, click Allow. Your Fake Webcam feed will now stream in Google Meet.

Google Meet runs in the browser, so Fake Webcam must be installed as a system-level virtual camera driver — which it is. No browser extension needed.
